Lucia's Angels is a foundation committed to helping women and families on Eastern Long Island with late-stage women’s cancers including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer and uterine cancer.
The foundation was created in loving memory of Lucia Terzi Bagan. Lucia was a very giving person, and it was her wish that other women and their families could have love and support through their toughest times.
Lucia’s Angels has provided help and funding for gift cards to local
establishments, household bills, dental work, house cleaning, healthcare, automobile repair, ambulatory trips, therapeutic massage, transportation, salon services, and wigs. From special wishes like one more trip to the beach to providing extra childcare to the holding of a hand, Lucia's spirit and Angels will be there.
PROGRAM CHANGES DUE TO COVID-19
In addition to their usual financial support they are:
- Sending recipients $100 gift certificates to local restaurants.
- Organizing meal, grocery and medication deliveries to those that must maintain a strict quarantine.
- Providing various fitness, wellness, and activity programs via Zoom Conferencing.
- Providing comfortable cotton facemasks to those ladies in need.
